What this page covers

This page says what Sungmer LLC ("Sungmer", "the house") does with the personal information it receives through sungmer.com, and what you can ask of it. Sungmer keeps as little as it needs, uses it for the purposes below, and does not sell it.

What the house receives, and why

When you acquire a piece. Your name, email address, delivery address and a telephone number for the carrier, together with the details of the order. The house uses them to take payment, deliver the piece, send the order, dispatch and arrival messages, register the certificate against the Artefact ID, and keep the records the law requires. Card details are entered on the payment processor's secure form and never reach the house; Sungmer sees only that a payment succeeded.

When you ask to be notified. Your email address, kept for the house's announcements: the opening of an Unearthing and little else. At checkout you may also tick a box to keep your address for the same purpose. Every announcement carries a link to leave the list, and leaving it takes one click.

When you write to the house. Whatever you put in your message, kept for as long as the correspondence needs it.

When you visit the site. The ordinary technical record a website keeps: pages viewed, the browser and device used, an approximate location drawn from the connection, and the cookies described on the Cookie Policy page. The house uses this to run the site and understand how it is used.

Who handles it on the house's behalf

Sungmer runs on services that process information for it, each under its own terms and safeguards:

• Showitwhich hosts and serves the website.
• WooCommerceby Automattic, which runs the shop, the cart and the checkout.
• Stripewhich processes payments. Your card details are given to Stripe directly, under Stripe's privacy policy, and are not stored by Sungmer.
• Klaviyowhich holds the announcement list and sends the announcements.
• Google Workspacewhich carries the house's email.
• UPSwhich delivers the piece and receives your name, delivery address and telephone number for that purpose.
• Analytics and advertising toolswhich the site may use as described on the Cookie Policy page.

The house shares your information with no one else, except where the law requires it or where it is needed to protect the house, a client or a piece.

How long it is kept

Order records are kept for as long as the law and the certificate require; an acquired piece is registered against its Artefact ID for the life of the piece. The announcement list is kept until you leave it. Correspondence is kept while it is useful and then deleted. Technical records are kept for the periods the services above apply.

Your choices and rights

You may ask the house, at any time, what personal information it holds about you, to correct it, or to delete it where the law allows. Write to [email protected]. You may leave the announcement list through the link in any announcement, or by writing. Where your state's law gives you further rights over your personal information, the house honors them on request.

Children

The site is written for adults. Sungmer does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under thirteen; if a parent believes it has, a note to [email protected] is enough and the information is deleted.

Where the information lives

Sungmer is a Virginia company and its services are based in the United States. Information given to the house is held and processed there.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at its head changes with it. The current page is the one that applies.
